Donna J. Betts, PhD, ATR-BC, hails from Toronto, Canada. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Nova Scotia College of Art & Design in 1992, a Master of Arts in Art Therapy from the George Washington University in 1999, and a PhD in Art Education with a specialization in Art Therapy from the Florida State University in 2005. Dr. Betts is an Assistant Professor at the George Washington University. She is a member of The Arts in Psychotherapy journal's Advisory Editorial Board, and serves on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Art for Life.
